Privacy Policy

Dumb or Genius (“we”, “us”) is operated by Kounga Solutions. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version: we collect only what we need to run the game, we never sell your personal data, and we don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information we collect

Account information - your email address and display name, provided when you sign in with Google, Apple, or email/password.
Content you create - ideas (title and description), votes, and reports.
Blocking preferences - the list of users you block (kept private to you).
Device & diagnostic data - a push-notification token (if you allow notifications) and crash/diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics.

How we use information

To operate core features: authentication, posting, voting, leaderboards, reporting, and blocking.
To keep the community safe by moderating reported content.
To send push notifications you have opted into.
To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

Sharing

Publicly visible: your display name, avatar, ideas, and vote totals appear in the app to other users.
Service providers: we use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check) to run the service. See Google’s privacy policy for their processing.

We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This removes your authentication credential and anonymizes your public profile.
Ideas and votes you created are retained in anonymized form (shown as by a “Deleted user”) to preserve the integrity of community leaderboards.
To request further deletion, contact info@koungasolutions.co.nz.

Children

Dumb or Genius is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Please do not use the app if you are under this age.

Your rights

Depending on your region (for example, GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact info@koungasolutions.co.nz to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
