Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Dumb or Genius, operated by Kounga Solutions, is committed to protecting children and maintaining a safe community. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Zero tolerance: Any content, conduct, or account associated with the sexual abuse or exploitation of children is strictly prohibited on Dumb or Genius. Violations are removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Our commitment
We prohibit and actively work to prevent the creation, upload, sharing, solicitation, or promotion of any material or behavior that sexually abuses, exploits, or endangers children. This standard applies to all users of the app and all content submitted through it.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form.
- Sexualization of minors, including drawn, animated, or computer-generated depictions.
- Grooming, solicitation, or sexual communication with or about a minor.
- Trafficking, sextortion, or any exploitation of a child.
- Sharing links, contact details, or content that facilitates any of the above.
Age requirement
Dumb or Genius is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Users must meet this minimum age to create an account or use the app.
How we enforce these standards
- In-app reporting: Users can report any idea, comment, or user directly within the app so our team can review it.
- Blocking: Users can block other users to control their own experience.
- Moderation: We review reported content and remove anything that violates these standards.
- Account action: We suspend or permanently ban accounts involved in CSAE.
- Reporting to authorities: We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant local law enforcement, and preserve evidence as required by law.
Reporting child safety concerns
If you encounter content or behavior that may endanger a child, please report it immediately:
- In the app: use the Report option on any idea, comment, or profile.
- By email: contact our Child Safety point of contact at a.kulasinghe@koungasolutions.co.nz.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law enforcement first.
